Plateau Busters

Last week at my meeting, we were talking about ways to break a plateau. They're always useful tips, and if not for breaking a plateau, as different motivation to kick-start your weight-loss again if you've stagnated again.

This tips have been discussed several times over the past year, and I tend to go back to these tips over and over when I'm having a rough time of it, as one or two small changes can lead to a good loss for the week, which gets you motivated again. Here are some top ones:
  • Try a different form of exercise
  • Stick to to a menu plan for a week
  • Go back to Fast Start
  • Double check your portions
  • Make sure you "Stop, Rest and Assess" while you're eating
  • Set a new mini-goal and reward for when you achieve it
  • Walk for an extra 20 minutes a few times a week
  • Cut out alcohol for a week
  • Reduce your sugar food and soft drink consumption
  • Try new foods
  • Make sure you include filling foods
  • Practice one "small change"
  • Re-take your Points quiz and double check your exercise Bonus Points (you get less as you loose weight!)
  • Diligently track EVERYTHING
  • Try Simply Filling as a different tool rather than tracking points

Fifteen ways to make a difference this week! So go for it!
